The Oldest Gumba (Monastery ) in the Dooars built in 1936. It has been proposed to be declaring a Heritage site. The idols at the altar were hand crafted by a local ‘khayba’ and the rare ‘bum’ scriptures were believed to have been bought and donated at the time His Holiness the Dalai Lama and a huge group of his followers had visited the Dooars.
Another interesting feature is the three decade old ‘Bodhi Briksh’ at the very entrance to the ‘Gumba’ which happen to be a sapling of the very’ Mahabodhi briksh’ at Bodh Gaya.
